E-aadhar is one of the best ways which an individual can use. This condition applies only if you don’t have the original hard copy of your Aadhar. Basically, Aadhar is the best medium which one can use in order to get profit from the services provided by the government.
Most of the time, there are many questions about the Aadhar card to be made mandatory. According to us, Aadhar should be made mandatory as it has been launched for the benefits of ordinary people. To download e-aadhar, first, you have to get enrolled by going to the Aadhar enrolment office. After enrolling, it generally takes around 60 to 90 days to reach your home by mail. Until then, you can download e-aadhar and print it. The value of both the printed and original one will be exactly the same.
You can download e-aadhar in more than one ways. Depending upon what document you have. For example, you can download Aadhar by Aadhar number, enrolment number or Acknowledgment number. Moreover, if you don’t have any of them or have lost it, then also you can download your e-aadhar.
How to Download E-Aadhar
By Aadhar Number
Step 1: Simply visit the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in/)
Step 2: Under the tab of ‘My Aadhar’, choose the option of ‘Download Aadhar’
Step 3: Choosing this will prompt up asking about what do you have. In this, you have to select the option of ‘Aadhar’
Step 4: After this, you will be redirected to another page which is to be filled with appropriate details. Enter your Aadhar number, registered mobile number, and email and pin-code too. You also have to figure out the text written in the security image. After submitting all the details, click on ‘Send OTP’
Step 5: You will receive one-time password on the mobile that has been linked with your Aadhar. Enter this OTP and click on submit.
Step 6: Proceeding further will start downloading your e-aadhar in PDF format. While opening if it requires a password, simply enter the pin-code you have provided in Aadhar.
By Enrolment Number
Step 1: Again visit the official website of UIDAI (https://uidai.gov.in/)
Step 2: Locate the tab of ‘My Aadhar’ and select the option of ‘Download Aadhar’ from its dropdown menu.
Step 3: Now in the window of ‘I have’, choose the option of ‘Enrolment ID (EID)’
Step 4: Completing step 3 will redirect you to another homepage asking about further details about your Aadhar. Enter your enrolment number, mobile number, email & pin-code. Make sure to enter that mobile number which has been registered with Aadhar.
Step 5: Now simply solve the security image and click on ‘Send OTP’
Step 6: Enter the received OTP on your registered mobile phone in the appropriate box and click on Submit.
Step 7: As soon as it verifies, downloading of e-aadhar will be started. It will be downloaded in the PDF format. If it prompts for a password, enter the pin-code you have provided in Aadhar.
